Google Business Profile Suspension Checker

Google lets you appeal once per decision, so the costly mistake is appealing before the problem is fixed. Answer four short sections and this tells you what most likely caused the suspension, what to fix first, whether your documents will hold up, and writes the appeal note for you.

1What does your dashboard say?
2Which of these is true of your profile?

Be honest here. The one you would rather skip is usually the cause.

3Which documents do you have ready?

Google accepts four kinds. The name and address on each must match the profile.

4Details for your appeal note

Optional. Left blank, the note keeps brackets for you to fill in.

The evidence is not there yet

You need at least one of Google's four document types. A GST certificate plus a utility bill for the same address is the strongest pair.

Your appeal explanation

[Business name] is a [type of business] at [full address], open [days and hours]. Customers visit us at this address during those hours.

We have reviewed the profile against the Business Profile guidelines and it reflects the business as it operates.

Attached: [list each document]. The name and address on each match the profile. We request that the profile be reinstated.

Everything stays in your browser. Paste the note into Google's appeals tool at support.google.com/business/?p=manage_appeals, signed in to the account that owns the profile. This is a free checker built by buildbyravirai, not a Google product, and it cannot promise an outcome: the decision is Google's.

Why it checks the causes before the appeal

The person reviewing an appeal is checking two things: whether the profile still breaks a guideline, and whether your documents match what the profile says. A long, emotional appeal on a profile that still has a keyword-stuffed name loses. A three-line note on a fixed profile, with a GST certificate and an electricity bill for the same address, usually does not. So the checker treats the appeal as the last step, not the first:

  • Read the status. A restricted account is appealed at myaccount.google.com/restrictions before any profile.
  • Do not make a new profile. Google's help page says so directly, and a duplicate becomes a second problem.
  • Fix only the cause. One or two targeted edits, not a rewrite of the whole profile.
  • Match the documents. Same name, same address, on every file you attach.
  • Then appeal, once, at support.google.com/business/?p=manage_appeals, and leave the profile alone while it is open.

Each cause, the Indian documents that map onto Google's four accepted types, and what to do after a denial are covered in our full guide to getting a suspended profile back. Once it is reinstated, keep it healthy with how to rank on Google Maps and how to get Google reviews the right way.

FAQs

Why was my Google Business Profile suspended?

Google rarely names the exact rule. The usual causes are a business name with extra keywords in it, an address customers cannot visit during your listed hours, a duplicate profile, a recent change to the name, address or category, reviews that were bought or written by staff or family, and a website or phone number that does not match the profile. The checker above walks through each one.

Should I appeal straight away?

No. Google says an appeal can be submitted once per decision, with an additional review possible only after a denial. Fix the cause and gather documents that match the profile first, so the one appeal you send is on a profile that no longer has the problem.

Which documents does Google accept in India?

Google accepts a business registration, a business licence, a tax certificate or a utility bill, with the name and address matching the profile. In India that is usually the GST registration certificate, the Udyam certificate or certificate of incorporation, the Shop and Establishment registration or trade licence, and a recent electricity, water, landline or broadband bill.

Can I just make a new profile?

No. Google's help page says not to create a new profile for the same business. It is a guideline problem in itself, it starts with zero reviews, and it can take the original down with it.

Is this an official Google tool?

No. It is a free checker built by buildbyravirai from Google's published Business Profile help pages. It cannot promise an outcome, because the decision is Google's. For the reasoning behind every question, see our guide to fixing a suspended Google Business Profile.

Copy your result and send it over with the message from your dashboard. We will tell you straight what we think caused it and what to fix before you appeal.

Website and profile telling two different stories?

A website that shows a different name, address or phone from your profile is one of the quieter causes of a suspension, and one of the slowest to spot. We fix the site so the two agree, and set up the profile so the business owns it rather than an old agency.
