SEO Services in the UK
We are an Indian engineering team working with businesses in the UK. Written scope before any code, and a fixed quote in GBP.
Working hours
Our day runs 09:00 to 18:00 India time, which is 03:30 to 12:30 in the UK, or 04:30 to 13:30 while you are on summer time, so most of your morning overlaps with ours.
Quoted in GBP
Quotes exclude the 20% VAT in the UK, shown separately on the invoice.
Data protection
Work for this market is scoped against the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, agreed before development starts rather than retrofitted afterwards.
Written scope
Every engagement starts with a written scope and a fixed GBP quote within 24 hours, so the price is set before work begins.
About SEO Services
Most SEO agencies sell you ranking reports for keywords nobody actually searches. We sell results, qualified organic traffic that turns into leads or sales. Our SEO work spans technical audits, on-page optimization, content strategy, structured data, Core Web Vitals tuning, local SEO, and the boring backlink groundwork that actually moves the needle. Every retainer reports against revenue or lead metrics, not vanity rank positions.
What the engagement includes
- Technical SEO audits and recovery from manual / algorithmic penalties
- On-page SEO and structured data implementation
- Content strategy and long-form blog writing
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile management
- E-commerce SEO (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento)
- Core Web Vitals optimization (LCP, INP, CLS)
- International SEO with hreflang and multi-region setup
- Backlink earning via guest posts, digital PR, and HARO

SEO for UK sites now works against rules on Google that apply only here. On 10 October 2025 the CMA designated Google with strategic market status in general search and search advertising under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, and in June 2026 it imposed the first conduct requirements. The publisher requirement of 3 June obliges Google to give publishers effective controls to withhold their content from the training and grounding of its generative AI, covering AI Overviews and AI Mode as well as products outside search such as Gemini, and the controls for grounding search features have to work at directory level and page level. It comes into force six months after the notice, with the directory and page controls following at nine months, which puts them at the start of December 2026 and the start of March 2027. Google must also give publishers metrics on how users engage with their content in those features, and it must not downrank a site in ordinary results for opting out. The fair ranking requirement of 17 June, which Google has until 17 December 2026 to meet, requires organic results to be ranked on objective, non-discriminatory criteria that ignore whether a site advertises with Google or has withheld content from its AI. It also requires notice of no less than 30 business days before ranking changes a publisher could act on, and 15 business days before changes likely to shift rankings significantly, along with a process to ask for reconsideration of a manual action. For a UK site that changes the work in three places. Withholding a section from AI grounding becomes a decision taken directory by directory on evidence, which means logging the new engagement metrics against a baseline before anything is switched off. Google's notices of ranking changes go into the reporting calendar, so a movement in traffic is read against them rather than guessed at. And a manual action now has a defined route to challenge.
Local search in the UK collides with company law at the address. Every limited company has a registered office on the public register, and under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 it must be an appropriate address: one where post to the company comes to the attention of someone acting for it and delivery can be confirmed, which rules out a Royal Mail PO box and similar services. It must also be in the same nation as the company's registration, so a company registered in Scotland keeps a Scottish registered office. Plenty of small firms use their accountant's office, which satisfies Companies House but describes a building where no customer is ever served. Google's guidelines pull the other way. A Business Profile needs a precise address where the business actually operates; a rented postal address with no operation behind it, a virtual office, is not eligible; a co-working desk qualifies only with signage, staff and customers received during opening hours; and a service-area business should hide its address. So a plumbing firm in Leeds with its registered office at an accountant in Harrogate has two true addresses for two different purposes, and the work is keeping each where it belongs. Companies House publishes basic company data as a free bulk download, so directories built from it can list the accountant's address as the place of business and split your citations between two locations, one of them a place you have never traded from. A UK local audit therefore starts from the Companies House record rather than from the Business Profile, lists every citation carrying the registered office, and corrects the ones presenting it as a trading location, while leaving it untouched wherever the law expects the registered office to be shown. The same check runs after any change of accountant, because the registered office usually moves with them. Which address your company should register is for your accountant.
Some UK sectors carry content a site is not free to cut, and SEO restructuring is where it most often disappears. A clinic, care home or GP practice rated by the Care Quality Commission has to show its current rating under regulation 20A on every website it operates that describes the services it delivers, within 21 calendar days of the rating being published. CQC's guidance for independent doctors and clinics asks for a permanent page that is conspicuous, frequently visited, reached through the main navigation and clear about which service the rating covers, with the rating on the homepage or appropriate landing pages. A landing page built for a treatment keyword, or a separate site for one location, is a website describing the services, so it carries the rating too. CQC's widget is a script embed, so a consent tool that holds back third-party scripts until someone clicks accept can hide it from that visitor, which is why pages are checked in that state rather than assumed to show it. Solicitors regulated by the SRA have their own list under its Transparency Rules. A firm advertising residential conveyancing, uncontested probate, immigration applications other than asylum, summary road traffic offences dealt with at a single hearing, unfair or wrongful dismissal claims, debt recovery up to £100,000 or business premises licensing must publish costs information in a prominent place on its website: the total, average or range of cost, the basis of charging, the experience of the people doing the work and their supervisors, likely disbursements, VAT, and the key stages and timescales. Every authorised firm must also show its SRA number and the SRA's digital badge prominently. Those are pages a thin competitor page lacks, so on a law firm's site the costs page is written and linked as a landing page in its own right rather than tucked into the footer. Whether a rule applies to your practice is for your compliance officer.
How we work with UK clients
UK engagements tend to start with procurement questions rather than technical ones. Who holds the data, which law governs the contract, whether you can produce a record of processing if the ICO asks. We answer those in the proposal instead of leaving them to a legal review three weeks in, because that review is where UK projects usually stall.
Invoicing is the other thing worth settling early. We are outside the UK, so services we supply generally fall under the reverse charge and your finance team accounts for the VAT rather than paying it to us. Our invoices say so explicitly. We quote in pounds, the figure does not move with the exchange rate mid-project, and payment by bank transfer avoids the card fees that make a five-figure invoice unnecessarily expensive.

How does VAT work if you are based in India?
For most business-to-business services supplied from outside the UK, the reverse charge applies: you account for the VAT in your own return rather than paying it to us, and it is typically neutral if you are fully recoverable. Our invoices state the position clearly so your accountant is not guessing. If your situation is unusual, for example partial exemption, we would rather your accountant confirms the treatment before we invoice than after.
Are you compliant with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018?
We build to it rather than claiming a certificate. In practice that means data minimisation designed in rather than bolted on, a documented lawful basis for each processing activity, retention periods that actually delete, subject access and erasure handled as features rather than manual database work, and hosting in a region you approve. Where we process personal data on your behalf we sign a processor agreement setting out exactly that.
We are a public sector body. Can you meet the accessibility regulations?
Yes, and it is scoped from the start because retrofitting accessibility is considerably more expensive than building it in. We work to WCAG 2.2 AA, test with a screen reader rather than relying on an automated scan, and produce the accessibility statement the regulations require. Automated tools catch perhaps a third of real issues, which is why the manual pass is not optional.
Which law governs the contract, and what about IR35?
We are happy to contract under English law with the courts of England and Wales, and most UK clients prefer that. IR35 does not apply to us: it governs individuals working through an intermediary, and you are engaging a company for a defined deliverable rather than a person for their time. Your accountant will want to see that the contract reflects that, and ours does.
SEO Services: common questions
How much do SEO services cost?
Starter retainers: £71-£180/month (small sites, 2 posts/month, technical fixes). Growth retainers: £180-£450/month (full content team, link building, comp analysis). Enterprise: £450+/month. One-off audits: £130-£360. Final pricing depends on site size, competition level, and how aggressive you want the content cadence to be.
How long does it take to see SEO results?
Realistic expectation: first impressions in 4-8 weeks, first meaningful clicks in 2-3 months, first revenue-attributed organic traffic in 3-6 months, dominant page-1 rankings in 6-12 months. Anyone promising page-1 in 30 days for competitive terms is selling you bot traffic.
Do you do paid links or PBN networks?
No. We don't buy links and we don't use PBNs. Every backlink we earn for clients comes from real outreach, guest posts on relevant publications, HARO responses that journalists pick up, directory submissions on legitimate platforms, and digital PR campaigns tied to data we publish. Black-hat tactics work for 6-12 months then get clients penalized.
Can you do SEO for an existing site without rebuilding it?
Yes, we work on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, custom builds, and pretty much anything. If the platform is fundamentally broken for SEO (some legacy Wix or low-quality templates), we'll tell you honestly. But 90% of sites are fixable in-place without a rebuild.
Do you handle Google Business Profile / Local SEO?
Yes. Local SEO is a major focus for Indian service businesses. We set up and optimize Google Business Profile, ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across 30+ directories, build local citations, manage review generation, and target the specific locations you actually serve, with one strong page per real market rather than a thin page per suburb. Local pack rankings are usually achievable within 3-6 months.
