Ecommerce Website Development Company in India

We build online stores that take orders on day one: Shopify when you want to move fast, WooCommerce when you want to own everything, and custom Next.js when neither fits. Razorpay, Shiprocket and GST invoices come set up, not as extras. You get a written scope and a flat quote within 24 hours.

Most store builds go wrong before the design starts

The usual story goes like this. A founder picks a platform because a friend uses it, pays for a pretty theme, and finds out three months later that COD reconciliation is manual, GST invoices come from a spreadsheet, and the courier integration breaks every time an order is edited. The store looks fine. Running it is the problem.

So we start with how orders actually move through your business: where payment comes in, who packs, which courier, how returns work, what your CA needs at month end. The platform choice falls out of those answers. Sometimes it's Shopify. Sometimes it's WooCommerce. Now and then it's a custom build, and we'll tell you honestly which one you need, even when the cheaper one is the answer.

Which platform, and when

Shopify

The fastest way to a reliable store. Best for D2C brands under about ₹3 to 4 lakh a month in sales, or anyone without a developer on call. Watch the app bill and the transaction fee on the Basic plan. See our Shopify development page for the deep version.

WooCommerce

You own the code and the data, and there's no per-sale platform fee. It suits stores past the point where Shopify fees hurt, as long as someone maintains it. Unmaintained WooCommerce is how stores get hacked.

Custom Next.js store

For catalogues and checkouts that don't fit a template: B2B price lists, configurators, multi-vendor marketplaces, or a store that has to talk to an ERP in real time. Faster pages, more control, higher build cost.

Headless Shopify

Shopify runs the backend and checkout, and a Next.js front end handles speed and design. Worth it for brands where page speed and content drive sales. Overkill for most stores under ₹50 lakh a month.

What every store we build ships with

These are the parts that cause trouble after launch, so they're in the base scope rather than sold as add-ons.

  • Razorpay or Cashfree payments, UPI included, with COD rules you control by pin code and order value
  • Shiprocket or your courier of choice, with tracking emails and WhatsApp updates your customers actually read
  • GST-compliant invoices generated per order, with the right HSN codes, so your accountant stops rebuilding them
  • Product, collection and category pages built for search, with clean URLs and schema from day one
  • Core Web Vitals checked on a mid-range Android phone on 4G, because that's who is shopping
  • Google Analytics 4 and Meta pixel events for view, add to cart and purchase, tested before launch
  • A handover call and written notes, so your team can add products and run sales without calling us

What an ecommerce website costs in India

Honest 2026 numbers. A basic Shopify setup on a free theme with 20 to 50 products, payments and shipping configured runs ₹35,000 to ₹75,000. A full store with a custom theme, 50 to 200 products and a proper app stack is ₹85,000 to ₹2.4 lakh. Migrating from WooCommerce or Magento to Shopify is ₹65,000 to ₹2 lakh depending on how messy the data is. Custom Next.js stores start higher and depend entirely on scope.

Running costs matter as much as the build. Shopify's own fees, apps, and gateway charges can add ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 a month on a growing store. We put those in the quote too, so the number you compare is the real one. The full breakdown is in our Shopify development cost guide, and Shopify vs WooCommerce with real numbers from 12 stores covers where the crossover sits.

How a store build runs

Most stores go live in three to six weeks. You see the store on a staging link the whole way through.

1
Scope call

We walk through your catalogue, payments, shipping, returns and GST setup. You get a written scope and a flat quote within 24 hours.

2
Design and catalogue

Home, collection, product and cart pages designed around your best sellers. Products imported with variants, images and SEO fields filled in, not left blank.

3
Build and integrate

Theme or front end built, then payments, courier, invoices and analytics wired and tested with real test orders, including a COD order and a return.

4
Launch and handover

Domain, redirects from your old store if you have one, Search Console submitted, and a training call. Then 30 days of fixes included.

Where our store clients are

We're based in Noida Sector 62, so brands in Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad can meet us in person if they want to. Everyone else, from Mumbai and Bangalore to Chennai, Jaipur and Dubai, works with us over calls and a shared staging link, which is how most store builds run anyway. If your store already exists and needs care rather than a rebuild, website maintenance and AMC is the page for you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an ecommerce website cost in India?

From ₹35,000 for a basic Shopify store on a free theme, ₹85,000 to ₹2.4 lakh for a full store with a custom theme, and more for custom Next.js builds. Add the running costs: platform fees, apps and payment gateway charges. We quote both so you can compare the real yearly number, not just the build.

Shopify or WooCommerce for an Indian store?

Shopify if you want to launch fast and don't have a developer on call. WooCommerce once you're doing roughly ₹3 to 4 lakh a month in sales and the per-sale fees start to hurt, as long as someone keeps it updated. We build on both, so we don't have a reason to push either one.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Three to six weeks for most Shopify and WooCommerce stores. The slow part is usually the catalogue: product photos, descriptions and variant data. If those are ready, we move faster. Custom Next.js stores take longer, usually eight weeks and up.

Do you set up COD, UPI and GST invoices?

Yes, all three are in the base scope. UPI through Razorpay or Cashfree, COD with rules by pin code and order value, and GST invoices generated per order with the right HSN codes. These are the things that cause the most pain after launch, so we don't treat them as extras.

Can you move my existing store to a new platform without losing SEO?

Yes. We map every old product and category URL to its new one with 301 redirects, carry over titles and descriptions, and check Search Console after launch. Stores lose rankings in migrations when redirects are skipped, not because of the platform change itself.

Do you build multi-vendor marketplaces?

Yes, usually as a custom build, because vendor payouts, commissions and per-vendor shipping don't fit a standard store theme. We have run our own multi-vendor platform, so we know where marketplaces break: payouts, disputes and returns.
